The Special Services (recreation) building was built by the U.S. Navy during the austral winter of 1961. The first floor of the buiding contained craft rooms for activities such as ceramics and jewelry-making. The second floor housed a two-lane bowling alley. This building was torn down during the 2009-2010 austral summer.
