The Lake Bonney field camp blends into the rocky terrain of the McMurdo Dry Valleys. John Priscu, Montana State University/Land Resources and Environmental Sciences, and his research team spend the austral summers living at the field camp while taking water samples from nearby Lake Bonney. Priscu's study is part of the National Science Foundation's Long Term Ecological Research project. See the McMurdo LTER website for more information.
