Navy Chaplain Father John Condit plays the organ outdoors at McMurdo Station during a dedication ceremony. The ceremony was for the Our Lady of the Snows statue commemorating the men who lost their lives exploring Antarctica. This dedication ceremony occurred on the one year anniversay of the death of U.S. Navy Petty Officer Richard Williams who drowned when the D8 tractor he was driving broke through the sea ice. The rock formation on the left side of the photo shows a rear-side view of the memorial. Pictured left to right: AD3 J.C. Tallon, Commander Canham, RM1 T.T. Montgomery, CD3 N.W.
