Lake Fryxell camp, Taylor Valley, McMurdo Dry Valleys, is the site of scientific research.

The small blue buildings at left are laboratories where scientists can process samples and work on sensitive monitoring equipment. The larger blue building at right is the main hut, which contains a kitchen and space for personnel to gather for meals and meetings.
The black structure is an outhouse.
This seasonal field camp is open during a few months during the austral summer.
