The McMurdo band practice room is quite possibly the most popular location on the continent. The McMurdo music scene is world renown, with plumbers and carpenters showcasing their talents in their spare time. The sign-up sheet to reserve time in the band practice room fills up quickly.

Starting in the bottom left and moving clockwise, this photo shows Jeff Uelmen (controls tech), playing lead guitar; Mike Symanski (fire systems tech), playing lead/rhythm guitar, vocals, songwriting; Daniel “Tapwater Dan” Lawrence (light vehicle tech) on drums; and Eric Edwards (heavy equipment tech), playing bass guitar.

Live performances are given to the community on weekends.
