Pilots and crew of the UH-1B 'Iroquois' helicopter stand next to the American flag after making the first helicopter flight to the South Pole. The men, all from the U.S. Army Transportation board from Ft. Eustis, VA, include: (standing) Capt. Neal Earley, Capt. Frank Radspinner, SP5 Frank MacPherson, S/Sgt Robert Anderson, SW02 Joe Griffin; (kneeling) SP5 James McCaslin, SP5 Louis Harrison, SP5 Paul George, CW02 John D'Angelo, and 1st/Lt Charles Beaman.
